Personal Data Protection Notice

This notice explains how AiEdu Academy Sdn. Bhd. (“AiEdu”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, discloses, retains and protects personal data.

1. Scope

This notice applies to website visitors, enquirers, registrants, learners, and parents or guardians registering a minor. By providing data to us, you acknowledge that you have read this notice.

2. Data we collect

We may collect your name, phone number, email, message, identity-card number, gender, marital status, selected course and session, registration status and communication history; server-verified course price, SST and currency; landing page, referrer and UTM parameters; and device, browser, IP address, time and technical logs processed by service providers. If online payment is enabled later, we may also receive transaction identifiers, payment results and necessary accounting records from the payment provider.

3. Purposes

We use data to answer enquiries; confirm courses, sessions, fees and registrations; manage customer, registration and support records; send course information and marketing where permitted; measure website and campaign effectiveness; prevent fraud or misuse; and meet tax, accounting, regulatory and legal duties.

4. Basis, obligation and choice

We process data based on consent, steps you request to prepare or perform a service, legal obligations, and other circumstances specifically permitted by applicable law. Fields marked as required, and at least one contact method on enquiry forms, are obligatory if you want us to respond or administer a registration. Other data is voluntary, but not providing it may limit the service we can provide.

5. Disclosure and transfers

We do not sell personal data. We may share necessary data with hosting, database, content, analytics, communication, email, venue, course administration and payment providers subject to confidentiality and data-protection duties; or where required by law, to protect safety and rights, or during a business reorganisation. Some providers may process data outside Malaysia; we will use reasonable safeguards and limit data to what is needed.

6. Payment data

If online payment is enabled, full card details will be processed by the appointed third-party payment gateway and should not be stored in AiEdu’s application database. We may retain a transaction number, amount, currency, payment status and accounting records required by law.

7. Cookies and browser storage

The site may use necessary cookies, session storage and similar technologies for functionality, security, first-source attribution and anonymous or aggregated analytics. You can control cookies in your browser, although blocking necessary technologies may affect some features.

8. Retention and security

We keep data only as long as needed for the stated purposes, dispute handling, business records and legal compliance, then delete or anonymise it where reasonably practicable. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Minors

A registration involving a person under 18 should be made by, or with appropriate consent from, a parent or legal guardian. Do not provide unnecessary sensitive information about a child.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your data, withdraw marketing consent, object to certain processing, or ask us to delete data that is no longer needed. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing or records we must retain by law.

11. Changes

We may update this notice when services or laws change and will show the latest date. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably practicable.
